This singer featherweight light has and electrical cord that has to be strung down through the head. Take care not to scratch the paint on your featherweight while affixing the light where it is screwed onto the head. You tighten the screw gently but firmly. The wire will become available out the bottom of the little featherweight. You will need to make sure the wire is not touching any moving parts or wear will occur after a period of time. The wire will have a securing bracket as you finish the wiring phase.
